Epoxy & Beyond

Cookie Policy

How Epoxy & Beyond uses cookies and similar technologies on this website.

This page describes the cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies this website actually uses, and how to control the optional ones. It is a technical description of the current implementation, not legal advice — see the Privacy Policy for what we do with the information itself.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) and pixels, which can serve the same purpose without being a traditional cookie. This policy covers all of these, not just cookies by name.

2. Why we use them

To keep the site working (remembering your cookie preference, protecting the floor visualizer from abuse), to support features like the AI assistant, and — only once you accept them — to understand site usage and measure advertising.

3. Essential technologies

Always active. These run regardless of your Analytics/Advertising choice, because the site doesn't work without them.

NameTypePurposeDuration
geb-consentlocalStorageRemembers your cookie preference so we don't ask again.Until you clear it
geb-themelocalStorageRemembers your light/dark display preference.Until you clear it
geb-viz-sessionCookie (first-party, HttpOnly)Identifies your floor visualizer session so we can apply fair-use limits and prevent abuse.7 days
geb-assistant-projectsessionStorageHolds what you've told the AI assistant about your project for the current visit, so it doesn't ask twice.12 hours, or when the tab closes

4. Analytics technologies

Understand how visitors use the site, including the visualizer and estimate funnel. Only runs if you accept Analytics in Cookie Preferences — and only for the vendors we've actually configured. Vendors: Google Analytics 4.

Once Google Analytics 4 is configured, it typically sets first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>. None of these vendors are configured on this site as of this writing — the categories exist so consent is in place before they are.

5. Advertising technologies

Measure and improve ad campaigns, including remarketing. Only runs if you accept Advertising in Cookie Preferences — and only for the vendors we've actually configured. Vendors: Google Ads, Meta Pixel.

Once configured, Google Ads and Meta Pixel typically set cookies such as _gcl_au (Google) and _fbp / _fbc (Meta). None of these vendors are configured on this site as of this writing — the categories exist so consent is in place before they are.

6. Remarketing

If Advertising is accepted and a remarketing vendor (Google Ads, Meta) is configured, we may use it to show ads to past visitors elsewhere on the web. No remarketing audiences exist yet — this describes what the Advertising category is built to support once we turn it on.

7. Third-party vendors

8. Changing your preferences

Change or withdraw your choice any time: . The same link is in the site footer.

9. Browser controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data in their settings. Blocking essential storage may stop parts of the site — like the visualizer's abuse protection — from working correctly.

10. Updates

We update this page when the technologies we use change. Current version: 2026-09-21. A meaningful change (like turning on a new vendor) resets saved preferences so you're asked again.
